Limits & Warnings

Platform limits for projects, topics, and users

We enforce some reasonable limits on the data to ensure smooth processing. Most limits can be relaxed if necessary — contact support if you hit a limit that prevents you from completing your analysis.

Project limits

• 20,000 characters maximum per text value (fixed limit)
• 25 “Text to Analyze” columns allowed per project — contact support if you need more
• 200 columns total for file uploads
• 50 MB maximum file size for uploads (no strict size limit for CSV files)
• 500 links maximum when importing via integrations

Topic limits

• With the new AI (LLM), up to 800 topics are supported whether or not sentiment is enabled
• With the legacy AI, the maximum is 266 sentiment-enabled topics (up to 800 without sentiment). Switching a project with more than 266 sentiment-enabled topics from the new AI back to the legacy model is not supported
• For semi-open columns this limit can be increased upon request
• Maximum 100 characters for the topic label
• Maximum 100 characters for the category label

User limits

Your plan may limit the number of users your organization can have. Upgrade your subscription to increase the number of possible users.
